Travel Experience I have travelled extensively worldwide including such remote locations as Tibet, Bolivia, Cuba, Indonesia, Philippines, and Iceland. Visas, customs, planes / trains / buses / taxis / rickshaws, travel illnesses, crimes & scams, bureacracy, excess baggage, middle-of-the-night arrivals, opposite side driving — I have dealt with all of it.
Outdoor Experience I have a long history of outdoor activities including backpacking, climbing, camping, skiing, and sea kayaking. I've climbed many of Colorado's "fourteeners" (peaks over 14,000 ft.) and have twice climbed mountain summits over 20,000 feet (6,000 meters) in international locations.
Fluent in Spanish I am fluent in Spanish and have served as official interpreter on inter-governmental projects (World Bank, USAID) in Perú and México. Needless to say, this is a great advantage when you need photography from anywhere in Latin America.
Computer-Savvy I have years of experience developing computer applications and websites. If your project includes photo scanning or web development, I can help. This entire website — scanned photos, HTML, Javascript, CSS, interactive tools — was designed and programmed by me.

Responsible, Honest, Reliable I have both a Bachelors and Masters degree in the Natural Sciences. My early professional career included work as an international consultant on overseas development missions under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations, and the World Bank. As a musician I have also completed several tours for the U.S. Department of Defense to entertain US troops stationed abroad. Of course, none of this guarantees my "responsiblity, honesty, and reliability," but it's a start (references available upon request).
