Oak Hill Nature Preserve

I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Oak Hill Nature Preserve in Northern Indiana.

I am proud to note here that my parents, James M. Barrett and Patricia D. Barrett, set aside this 89-acre nature preserve from their own lands. The area is now under the care of the Acres Land Trust, which my father co-founded in 1960, and is dedicated under the Indiana Nature Preserve Act. My father, a lawyer, wrote the Act which, with the help of our friend and environmentalist Tom Dustin, was passed by the Indiana legislature in 1967.
